3 things to know to respect the wine

#1 Temperature. Don’t serve wine - red and white - at room temperature. About 10-12 degrees for a white wine, 16-18 degrees for a red wine. More details in our previous article here #2 Perfume. When you drink wine you are really using your nose to enjoy most of it.  Number one offender in wine enjoyment is perfume. Thousands of aromas are part of each wine, such a waste to smell everything except the wine! 3# Asparagus, artichoke, peanut butter. There are some foods that just do not play well with wine. Artichoke, asparagus and peanut butter are offenders! Asparagus has a compound called methyl mercaptan that can make wines taste more vegetal. Artichokes can fool the palate into perceiving flavors that aren’t there. Peanut butter just coats the tongue, there’s no getting over that.
