The recent release, Bohemian Rhapsody, is touching our hearts with the story of the legendary band, Queen. But did you know that one of Queen’s most beloved songs, “Under Pressure”, was a direct result of wines (albeit with drugs as well)? On a night in July 1981, band members of Queen and the late rock star David Bowie gathered in the studio for a wine-infused music session. During their break, they devoured plenty of wine and eventually completed the famous duet in one night. Guitarist Brian May mentioned that the song was “born completely spontaneously… [as] fresh as a daisy”. Wine is truly an inspiration to all of us.
